Shoot On Saptami-Accompanied By Photography Club @ Chinsurah

Last night suddenly I had bit fever after coming back from Shashti tour but I never wanted to miss today's tour (3rd October 2011). I immediately took two pills of Mox500 and Calpol and went to sleep. Morning was fine @ 10 and I had to take another two pills before I left home.
All this not to meet my Girl Friend but most awaited Photography Club.
Shirsha Da, Nitai Da, Avik Da, Debarshi, Rajesh - Team Photography Club
My Saptami plan was fixed with them to play with my little clicking companion at Chisurah, Hooghly. They were all powered by the SLR unlike Shirsha da, Debarshi & me. But all of us tried our best(?) we can do with our instrument.
The journey started from a local Puja Pandal near Ghari-r more after they recharged themselves with Moghlai from Banerjee Cabin. So we started our journey and I got opportunity to fill my blog with this story. You will not get best clicks here but @

The very first Pandal we went in (I could not remember the name of the organizer, cause I hardly tried to remember that), and gathered in front of a large stand fan when only Shirsha da took out his camera and started clicking, when Avik da had excuse that his camera is unable to capture such pics or he is not in mood to click pics today (you can take it in either way). And here is the idol which was there..

@ Chinsurah

From there we started walking further and we were entering the pandals coming on our way. In the next pandal our photographers showed their enthusiasm and talent with the little kids. Especially Nitai da, Rajesh & Debarshi they took full advantage of presence of some little kids. Nitai da started capturing every probable poses and gestures they were doing when Debarshi & Rajesh was following him, . In between them I was busy in capturing all of them. Here are some snaps of that.

After visiting two more pandals we started looking for a place to take a group photographs. While searching
Clickers
for that we reached a place I would prefer to term it as "Nadia Kinar-e" & that become the ultimate place for our all kind of shooting experiences. When we finished clicking our group photography, Shirsha da threw a challenge to compose a picture of him which can explain "His vast experience according to seniority, but he has to try hard to catch modern concepts and scared to accept modern age instruments".

It was a real brainstorming for the rest of us when a concept came out at last and a shot was taken. I can not present that at this moment but later I will add it here.

Here the story ended with sweet memories. If anyone has interest to see some more pics can visit here

ITS AN ANNOUNCEMENT
To every individual interested in photography,
We are going to setup our "Photography Club" rather I should say we want it beyond our Facebook activity and to give it a real world existence. This club will be involved in photographic activities through out the year by organizing Contests, Photographic tours, Seminars etc. Winning members of the contests will be rewarded in annual programme. We will soon launch our website where we will give the other details. Please follow our page to keep yourself update about our progress.

ANIMAL SACRIFICE--SHOULD NOT WE STOP THIS??

By Guest Author Ayon Mukherjee

I am a young goat, living in the fields of the city Tarapith,West Bengal,India. My skin colour is BLACK. (I had no idea that being the skin colour black for goats is really dangerous sometimes, which I later realised.)
I grazed happily in the green fields, eating away tasty green grasses. I was enjoying my life with my fellow mates.
But suddenly I was caught by some people one day, while I was eating grasses on the fields. I had no idea why I was captivated. I got bored as I was tied to a pole whole day, though I used to get good foods in huge quantity.(I never know why they captivated me and giving me such good foods to eat!)
Time passed by. May be after two weeks of my captivation, I was taken to a nearby temple. Must be a very big temple as many people had gathered there. They had all come to pray to the goddess of the temple. There I saw many of my fellow mates, who used to graze with me on the fields. They were also same black in colour like me. I had no idea why so many goats were taken to a temple. I was tied to a pole again. Stood under the sun for more than five to six hours. I was getting damn bored.
Then a huge fat man came and took me with him. I was cleaned with lots of water and I enjoyed the bath! I felt fresh. PHEWWWW....
I was worshipped then. Many people gathered around me. I was feeling proud.
Then I was queued again to a line and found many friends of mine in the queue. They told me that they had the same experience in the last few days. We were chatting happily ,as we all had no idea about what was going to happen to us in next few minutes.
After few minutes, I heard one of my friend squealing. I had no clue,I didn’t get for what the squeal was.
Then my turn came, I was carried away by that fat man again and taken to special place, where I saw dead bodies of many goats like me. Many people were surrounding the place. I also found the killing instrument by which I was going to be slaughtered in next few seconds of my life.
I panicked and started crying at my highest pitch. I tried hard to escape. But all my efforts in vain. I couldn’t. I cried for help from the people standing around me, but no one helped me. All were rather happy, seeing me cry. At last I prayed to God, to save my life. But then I felt that God is also helpless in front of this cruel people, who felt great after killing an innocent life.
HOW CAN THEY DO THIS TO ME IN A TEMPLE, WHERE ALL MIGHTY IS PRESENT ?
HOW CAN THEY TAKE AWAY MY DAYS OF FUN FROM ME?
HOW CAN THEY FORCE TO END MY LIFE SUDDENLY IN ONE MORNING?
WHO HAS GIVEN THEM POWER TO DECIDE ABOUT MY DEATH?
I had many questions in my mind. But there’s none to answer.
I was forced to lie down in the floor. I kept lying quietly ,counting last seconds of my life.
Then suddenly the instrument landed on my shoulder and I WAS KILLED. The people surrounding me were happy to see this and celebrating my death.
This is the story of a poor goat and YOU, yes YOU, the cruel human beings ,imagine if it happens to you one day ,how would you feel? Can you celebrate then as you did when it was the goat’s turn?
We are all Indians. India is land of cultures and many religious myths. But I hate this practice of sacrificing the life of goats as a part of rituals.
Earlier in India, life of small children was also sacrificed as a part of ritual. However it was stopped by law after we fought for our life. But, what about this goats? Who will fight for them?
Since they can’t speak like us...cant appeal to courts...they will be killed mercilessly?
Is there no one to fight for them?
I think, we human beings should come up and change our thoughts.
We all know that none of the sacred texts like GEETA, KORAN,BIBLE etc preach about destruction of life. God never wants life to be sacrificed for His satisfaction. Rather He gets wounded when He watches human beings killing innocent animals for pleasing Him.
Great Ramakrishna was never in favour of any kind of animal slaughter. He tried his best to stop it but due to the very strong orthodox priestly class he could not stop it. He even told some devotees during one Kali Puja that Maa Kaali had told him cracking a coconut was enough, that itself was a sacrifice. There is no animal sacrifice at Dakshineshwar today. Even at Kamakhya Temple, Assam, no goats are sacrificed for pleasing the Goddess of the temple. So why we couldn’t stop by enforcing laws against the practise.
We should be more like a human being and act accordingly. We should fight for justice and go for enforcing laws to stop this inhuman act in the name of the God.
So I would appeal to the people of whole world to stop this act to save the innocent lives and stop slaughtering any form of life for the sake of pleasing God.

Isn't Indibloggers are less in Indian Languages

It may appear as a dillogical argument on the choice of language in blogging, but from my point of view it really stands somewhere in my brain and perhaps within someone else too. As per my title of this post I hope my topic of argument is clear to everyone. I am talking about about the Indian languages that are dispersed from Himalaya to Kanyakumari. It will not show the smartness to name all of them but I am keeping believe in your common sense. The point I will raise in this post by asking a question
"Why there are so less blogs written in Indian languages?"
In order to defend my attack, many will shout out about the acceptance, understanding and I totally agree with these points, when we concerned with blogging which is similar like your old days diary (even personal thoughts or events for some bloggers) except from its public presence, so it is obvious to make it in  such a way so that it happen to be acceptable verbally and regarding that the only possible way to write it in the universally decoded language English.
You may found myself biased about my language but it is true in sense that most of us do not blog for information trading or for benefit of our own economy, rather just to share our thoughts, opinion, views ( I am not taking those bloggers in account who posts mostly copy paste thing for adsense earning ). So for those who write your own things in your own way it is generally considered it is most explainable in our native language and acceptance of it within native people are most if that is really a nice piece in any sense. Being a Bengali I mostly point towards to availability of Bengali Blogs on net from the Bengali Indians. In Indiblogger I found it is less than 1% of the total bloggers where as in whole internet it will be hardly 1% when it is claimed that Bengali is one the most Popular languages in world. But it is really a matter of joy that our Bangladeshi friends are working on many Bengali blogs which are really appreciable. But the worse thing is the effort is very less from the Indians. The same thing happening for other Indian Languages. It is not a shameful job to write in English but it is always expected to express your thoughts in your own native languages. When I found there are many blogs those are full of very beautiful stories or poems written in English, I really feel proud for their creative skills, but same time I feel aren't they capable of express these in their own languages? In most cases the answer will by "NO" thankful to the perfect marketing of English Language. Even in today's educated Indian child or parents feel proud if their children can not speak the native language, but fluent in English. But believe me , I feel very glad when I found a Bengali Blog written in Bengali Fonts & I think same happen for the others when they found blogs in their mother tongue. It is not a request, but it will be really nice if I found more Indibloggers with blogs in Indian Languges, when writing in Indian Languages and fonts are not really hard job. Indian Languages are not technically challenged anymore. You just need to make yourself a bit native language savy.
